Welcome emails

Once a donor has been won and they have given their signature, they will receive a "welcome email" with the summary of the mandate as PDF attached to it.

You can modify the content of the welcome email for each of your campaigns. Usually this is done within our tool freedcamp where we explain, step by step, each bit we need for a complete campaign. 

For the welcome email you'll need the following at hand:

1) a sender name
This is usually the organisation's name. In most email clients the sender name is displayed instead of the sender address. 

2) a sender address
We can send welcome emails from any email address you have access to, but we strongly advise to use the organisation's supporter-care address, since replies also are delivered to the sender address. To activate the sender address we will send a link via our provider mailjet.com to the sender address. This message needs to be forwarded to support@donutapp.io so we are able to activate the sender address for your campaign.

3) a fallback email address (optional)
If the initial donation to the donor's email address bounces or can't be sent due to other reasons, it is possible to send a duplicate to another email address. In most cases this is the same address like the sender address, so the organisation knows which donor did not receive a welcome email right away.

4) a subject
The subject line of your welcome email.

5) the content
Additionally to a header image, you can decide on what you want to tell your new donors. We can add all the information gathered on the donation form, including conditional content based on the entries of the donation form. For example different texts for different sponsorship types etc

6) social media links
We can add links to the social media platforms of your choice.
