After the Self-Checkout or self-checkout journey, donors will receive an SMS and an email with the link to the self-checkout form. If the donor has not received one of these, the QR code on the form can be scanned as an alternative.
You can design the email however you like. The standard email looks like this (with your own campaign header automatically included, of course)
Clicking on the button in the email takes you to the checkout form, where donors are asked to enter their date of birth so that their personal data is protected.
The agreed opt-ins are shown in the summary, and the checkbox ‘I accept the marketing opt-ins as discussed’ must be ticked in order to complete the donation.
After selecting the payment method, you will be redirected to the payment page.
In our example, it is PayPal.
Once a donation has been completed, the self-checkout form can no longer be opened via the link; if the link is opened, a message appears stating that the data record has already been completed.
